Conditions

The theme of the day was women running trying to escape during the American Civil War. We couldn’t use the location we had planned and we had to change the plan many times until we finally got this location. There were some disappointing aspects, but it’s not very often that we come across perfect conditions when we film, so I just tried to think how to create the best work under the circumstances.

I think that knowing Sarah the hair & makeup artist was almost more valuable for me than the result of the project. Not only was her technique excellent but I was also so grateful for her support on the project, proposing new ideas about our image and offering rides to the locations. We made a promise to see each other again and have dinner on that occasion, when we said goodbye.
